Creator of the "3d mesh extension" still around?
Does anyone know if the creator of the 3d mesh extension is still updating it?
I hope so. You could make game with it, but if you could just rotate the camera/viewpoint then life would be a lot easier.
I did send and email to the only address listed on his site but not heard anything. Just curious if the community knew if he was still "active".
Kind regards,
Steam Bucky

He hasn't been around in quite a while. Not quite sure what happened to him..
Re: Creator of the "3d mesh extension" still around?
Do think anyone can pick up where he left off?
Re: Creator of the "3d mesh extension" still around?
The object is being worked on by a new person.
So once he wraps his head around the code I am sure it will get improved.
Re: Creator of the "3d mesh extension" still around?
Been playing with the plugin. It's extremly good. I realy hope someone wil continue the development of this plugin. It makes MMF2 soooo much powerful. But does anybody know how to set the hot spot and the action point?

Thanks Jeff for that update. Have you seen a prototype of the new version or is the lats thing you know is that someone is working on the update?
Who ever you thats working on the 3d Mesh Object - thanks in advance! - let me me know if you need any models made/textured.

Most important - if you know of any bugs, please post them :)

Imagine the possibilities with a properly working version of the 3D mesh object. You could have a 3D character like New Super Mario Bros, or make Resident Evil style games, or parallax style objects like the buildings on Grand Theft Auto
Re: Creator of the "3d mesh extension" still around?
Agreed, imagine what you can do. I would just be happy if you could rotate the camera. I'd like to try and make something with the current plugin to show we are keen on the future development. With out that camera rotate games are posible but hard...well the oones I can think of.
To JasonDarby: I think there was a buglist I will track it down. Do we know who make aware of the buglist? Or is the identity of the new person working on the 3d mesh object a secret - To stop them being bugged with "When is the 3dmesh ojbect being updated" ;>
Re: Creator of the "3d mesh extension" still around?
If you post it here that will be fine, we can direct them here or he will probably see it anyway. :)

Wow - so their identity is a secret! Well that stop me cyber stalking them.
If anyone has done anything with the 3d Mesh object I would love to see what you have done regarless of hoe unfinished or broken it is.
Re: Creator of the "3d mesh extension" still around?
I think one key feature that all MMF 3d objects seem to lack is automatic detection of the object's bounding box.
I mean, if you zoom in on a model too far then it clips they edges off, instead of resizing the viewing window to the right size.

Sounds more of the users fault to me - why would they want the window to suddenly auto resize?
