ink effects

i was surfing me some youtube, and i stumbled upon (not using stumbleupon) a video with some impressive ink effects, does anyone have experience with making these kinds of effects?

also, i should mention that the one that piqued my interest the most is the fireball.

its not fireballs per se, its the effect, where the ink trails it.

also, that video was done with a demo version of MMF2, so he wouldn't have the ability to install such an extension.

it just looked like overlapped (or alpha'd) objects with the Add ink effect

the trailing was probably done by constantly creating flame objects at the fireball's position, then shrinking them

do you think you could elaborate on that??

Where can I find that? Sounds like a neat extension.

it's probably something like:

Every (some small value)
--> Create: "Trail"; [at] 0,0; [from] "Fireball"

Always
--> Trail - Add to Alterable Value A: 1
--> Trail - Set Scale to: 1.0 - (Alterable Value A("Trail")/10.0)

Alterable Value A of "Trail" >= 100
--> Trail - Destroy

sorry i should've been more specific, i knew how to do that, i don't know how to do the ink effects.

It isn't available to the public yet. I must watch the video myself to find out exactly when :) (Too busy sorting food and stuff out with the hotel to catch everything)

okay, i've figured out how to use the ink effects themselves, but how does he make them glow like that???
