bullet holes.

hi again:)

how can i make bullet ,to hit target and to delete the place- that the bullet hit?(like worms games)

i want the bullet to destroy the points or the erea it hits.

p.s. i as wondering also if i can shoot bullet faster then 100?
the default speed is between 0-100 and i wanted to know if i can use faster speed.

Paste it black, or whatever color the background is. There is an old example of this in an invaders game by Gwerdy software. I'll upload it now.

If you have a background thats a solid color and a foreground thats an obstacle, then you can put a hole in it.

What you would do, is draw a sprite the size of the hole you want and the same color as your background. Then, when your bullet hits the wall, create the active there, paste it into the background (NOT as an obstacle), then destroy the sprite, all in one line, and in that order. To change the order (say you messed up), then just double click the line to enter the order editor.

ok stAtrill, i did something like this:
created media:
1.active object as player
2.active object as bullet (bullet for the player to shoot)
3.active object as bullet hole (bullet hole same color as the quick backdrop (black) )
4.active object as enemy (static enemy to shoot at and to create holes in it(color of the enemy is orange)
5.quickbackdrop as black background.

now, i gave movement to the player and gave the player the ability to shoot the bullet, and when the bullet hits the enemy object, the hole object creats relative to the bullet and bullet destroy and the hole pasted on the enemy so i am getting ilusion of a bullet hole:) , but..you told me to destroy the holes sprites? - when i destroyed them, there are no holes and if i do not destroyed them, there are holes , but also i am getting too many objects cause the holes stay on the screen:(
i know i did it wrong (as ususal) lol - but...guide me from here plese casue i am close to the solution thanks to you mate;)

To shoot faster than 100, you should use a fastloop.

I think of allowing speeds over 100, like 200 or 300. As 100 is really slow for wide applications.

Im making an example where you have instant bullets with holes.

Francois, while we are on this topic, could you implement some kind of system so that the bullets don't skip over pixels, because some people have the problem that if they use vector or bouncing ball at high speeds, the bullets will go straight through walls. I had this problem a lot before I learned how to use fastloops and such.

Dont they have an object for that? The 'move safely object' if i remember correctly...

Yes, I completely forgot about that. But even still, the built-in movements should be fixed.

yea:
i started the mmmf2 and draged the file you uploaded to the mmf2 and checked the event editor and when i wanted to go to the event list editor, i had error messege every time:(

so i activate the application and i saw the level and could move the object with the keys and when pressed the left mouse button, the application crashed again every time i am doing this)

maybe its problem here?

Maybe you have to update to the latest build.

ok..now after the update, i need some help to understand better this bullet holle thing.
the tutorial was good, but too complicated for me, so i made something very very simple and from this point i will have to understand how to delete the pasted actives that makes the bullet holles..the reall bullet is easy to delet..just delet and its away, but the holles should be pasted into the backdrop so if i will delete them..i will have the object under them again :\
