Well all TV channels are in the 4 digit range.
Seriously, what the hell are you talking about? Sound channels? There are only 32 sound channels.

It says "Mooclick: [...]", so, I think he means the number of channels on a server.
Well, I think there's no limit, but a small server with 400 channels could be veeeery slow.

lol, sorry, I didn't see the Mooclick part (and I could have sworn it wasn't there at first...)
I doubt there is a limit - the channels are nothing more than first part of message so the wont be slower if you send message on channel 5000 or 5.
Anyway, it is best to possibly try to have as less channels as possible.

I would seperate channels into groups example: channels 1-10 are used for my chat, Channels 11-20 is for the position and sending of the object. You can also use subchannels to send a message that will activate something like On message:+ subchannel = 21 then play animation walking. it is better not to choose random channels like channel 67 is for chat and stuff. I would totally forget but i could just look at the events and remind myself
Well i use 1 channel for a specific thing:
channel 0: chat
channel 1: movement
channel 2: security (encrypted) stuffs
channel 4: etc
Then I use string parser to get what kind of information gets sent in the channel, like: CHT for chat: CHT#Hello world!
