Hi Krush, you won't be dissapointed with MMF, I can assure you.
I'd actually be eyeing the mail if you knew what was in store for you. 25 years of C++ programming? Well MMF is slightly different from C++, even though that's what runs it. You should be able to adapt to it quickly the logic is really close.
Even without HWA MMF 2 is a heavy duty contender in the game making tools genre.
Things that are really hard to do in C++ but simple in MMF 2 are.
-Layers
-Parallax Scrolling
-Ink effects
-Frame Rate control and setting
-Saving and Loading information
-Setting up Controls for various types of game movments, including Pinball! Which if your creative you can use for movments other than what they were meant for.
-Score Keeping, and Lives Keeping
-High Score Keeping
-Vitalize! 4 an online equivalent to Flash.
-Extensions that expand MMF 2's already powerful tool set.
-Built in Art designer
-Data Element Handling
-3 types of Graphics display settings
