I thought everyone wanted Vitalize! to grow and be more popular? If so, then product recognition and trust is the most important factor, not customized logos.
So, if everyone uses their own choice in logo, then the user goes, well then, which version of Vitalize! IS THIS ONE? They may not stop to think that the plug-in is the actual version itself. "Is this some sort of hack? That's not the log I usually see!" is another potential reaction. Something different or unusual will get noticed, that's for sure -- in a possibly negative way.
Best thing is not to confuse the users or require a change to the usage agreement to reflect the fact that there is one, official logo for the product that can be used to represent it in a game or applicaiton, I think.
BTW: I think some of the offerings here at least reflected some creativity and good artwork, for what it's worth.
