auto backups? (my bad wrong forum)
Does MMF2 have an autobackup system by default? I had the best space engine ever made, about 20 different (and finished) sprites, plenty events to make it fun, and I went to save it, it said failed to save document, and deleted the original, then MMF2 crashed and I'm really pissed right now. All I have is the incomplete player sprite in a different file.
I found 'auto backup' right after this happened in preferences, it was turned off, so anyone know how I could retrieve this file?

You just deleted the original? Then you can get a "Undelete" program from the web, you might try using it to recover the deleted file (even if you deleted it from the garbage bin). Try searching google for free undelete -programs, I'm not sure if I know any.

No, it pretty much deleted the original by overwriting it with nothing, making it simply, dissapear. I don't know if Windows Vista has anything like Mac OSX Leapord Time Machine, but that would come in handy, I'd think.

It may be too late by now, but if you read this, not all undelete programs are the same. Some will say there is no hope or will not see the file and others will see it and save it right away. Just because one undelete program says it was over written does not mean that it actually was.
If you are interested I could try to find some of my good undelete programs. Just let me know.

Yeah, it is kind of late. I've started a new project since then. Thanks anyway.
