Re: MMF2 HWA Beta
Well I got around 10,000 active objects with additive ink effects applied to them, being created constantly which bounce around the screen, before experiencing any slow down on an AMD Athlon 64 X2 and 2GB of OCZ gold memory as well as a Sapphire X1600PRO 512MB ATi Radeon video card.

Re: MMF2 HWA Beta
Excellent work, Yves/Clickteam! I'll try my best to test this up and hopefully help to find some issues to be nailed in this beta testing.
Anybody noticed issues with additive blending mode with soft edged objects?
Here are my snapshots to illustrate what I mean:

Re: MMF2 HWA Beta
Another thing.. with 1187 bouncy smileys on the screen, my 90FPS application went down to 45/50 FPS.. is this normal? Should we expect a performance improvement for the final version? Note that the smiley is a PNG imported image, not the default active object. With additive blend mode on all smileys it went down to 40 FPS :)

Re: MMF2 HWA Beta
Well I just noticed that Onu Audio says it can't load it's DLL if you try to open it in HWA mode.

Re: MMF2 HWA Beta
I wonder if zoom in and out could possibly be made with HWA in MMF2 or it is possible only with MMF3.

Re: MMF2 HWA Beta
There will no be an MMF3. Zoom in and out will be great! :D

Re: MMF2 HWA Beta

Re: MMF2 HWA Beta
I was actually going more towards your imported PNG issue, not so much the framerate issue. The fire effect was done using imported PNG's rendered from 3D Studio Max. I just saw the other post, and decided to include the framerate in my screenshot, but I didn't notice that you were talking about over 1000 objects until just now. My bad.

Re: MMF2 HWA Beta
I had 10000 bouncing actives and had 50 fps without a problem.
