Just make it's alpha layer become more and more transparent with each frame. It's a lot of work but it works fine.

some of the included shaders have a blend coefficient which seems to act like the transparency slider
not sure why ones like Add and Subtract don't have it
This can't be true, my objects still obey events even when they are being destroyed.

PS: You are right though, the ink effects are shut off, when the fade is triggered.
The link is broken?
I fixed the link and made it a ZIP. For some reason, my host must not like MFA files.
cool, thanks!
That would be good, if Ink effects and semi transparency were separate in the final build.
Then I could easily achieve the effect I was after.
Pixel shader effects and semi-transparency are already separate in the current build. This part is not yet fully optimized, but it works (unless there is a bug). This doesn't work with software ink effects.
When I add semi-transparency, it seems to loose the additive effect as the black borders of my explosion return.
I have uploaded my source with semi transparency on one and removed on the other.

Ah, yes, there might be a bug with the effects that have a software version like Additive Blending. I'll try to fix it.
