It might not work on all computers though...
Nope didn't work for me, but thanks.
Ok, That didn't work for me either. Does anyone know of a free video converter that will convert videos to AVI,GIF,FLI,or FLC?
AO video.
I'm using a the Directshow object myself at the moment, and I have got it to work using the same method, although I had to put the actives on a higher layer to get them to show over the top of the video.
There is an old thread disussing this 16,0,16 method, and although a definite conclusion wasn't reached, it seems the majority of people seemed to think it was dependent on the OS you used rather than the graphics card, with Windows XP seeming to work, and Windows 98 not working.
Is this the case with those using it in this thread?
Anyway, while I'm on, I'm not having much luck playing DVDs with the directshow object.
What I want to do is have the app play the DVD in the area of the screen that's using the 16,0,16 method, much like it does when playing a video file, but the only way I have found to play an actual DVD from the DVD drive is to use commands to
CREATE a window,
and PLAY.
The problem is that this opens up a new window in the app, and plays the DVD in that.
How do I play a DVD in the window area that's already set up in the app?
I'll keep playing with it, but as far as I can see, I've tried all the methods and commands that are available in MMF2, and without using the create window command, I get no video.
Cheers,
Krush.
Bink. I have it, it works charms.Quote:

P.S. how do I show who originally said this?
OK, I got the animation object to work, but whenever I use it to play a video file, it doesn't display some pixels. Can anyone tell me why?
