If I use the record demo function, and make my game demo levels for a few seconds, is there Any way to let the player leave the demo and go back to the title-screen by pressing a joystick button or keyboard key besides f2?
thanks

This is unfortunate. It would make an otherwise awesome addition to MMF seem far less professional if people are STUCK in a demoing level when they want to begin playing. The ideal situation would be an event like "while demo is playing" that would allow the designer to have special controll of things while in that situation...worst case scenario, the game should be able to compare the button presses wit the log of recorded button presses to know if its new and not part of the recording...is there really no tricky way around this problem? Will I have to resort to a message that says "demo...press f2 to return to menu"
If the demo functionality were upgraded with a "While demo is playing function" and the ability to record a demo at runtime, then we could make games where a player could watch a rerun of their level, and re-enter the game just before they messed up. Like a time travel, fix my mistakes sorta thing...could be really cool.
Oh dear god! even f2 doesnt work?!? I just tried it and you cant even reset out of the demo. :( Anyone else find a way around this?
Francois needs to add a stop demo action.
I wonder if he can slip it in - in the next build.
That would be wonderful :)thanks again Clickteam for the wonderful program(s).
