Also please try to have a good subject for your posts
Scared me for a second there, lol jeff gets to reply before me. At least you'll know what to do from now on.
Martin_Bodger, you should probably wait for at least one reply before using massive capitalization, "MEGA", or "MAJOR" in your posts' subjects.
But this is serious, i have A LOT of objects locked now, it took me ages to draw them!
Thanks jeff!
It wasn't really serious, you could've looked that up in the help file in about 20 seconds.
Also, if you "CTRL+Shift+Left click" on a locked object it unlocks it. :D
I never lock objects, I just don't see the point, what if I want to move it later?
I usually lock bigger backdrop objects so they aren't in the way when I want to insert a new object (double click) or select multiple objects. And you could just unlock it if you need to move it...
While you miss the point, others may be right on it. Um, what does locking an object do anyway? I've never done it, I just know how to lock and unlock stuff.
Dragonguy, what if you have a big background in the back of a frame, you might not want to select that object.
EDIT: Wow! That was 2 fast replies at the same time :O !
Once an object or frame is setup in position, it's likely your not going to want to move it later, thus locking it is useful. Even if you do want to move it again, it isn't much effort to unlock it.
I personally find layer locking very useful.
I almost always lock the layers i'm not using incase i accidentally spend half an hour working on the wrong layer XD
Ha! Now this forum got useful, now two people got help in the same place. :)
And I just found out how to use smiles!
