How to save my players position in a frame

Hi i making a platform game in the form of a character progressing from one screen to another collecting things, i have made a screen where you can go 2 ways one takes you up into the sky to the next level and exiting to the right takes you somewhere else. if possible i would like to make it so when i go into the sky it saves my position in the frame and when i re-enter from the next frame (the sky) i appear where it saved my position also keeping the state in which i left the previous frame i.e. gems collected any help would be appreciated

i tend to get allsorts of application errors and "position not saved in this frame errors" thank you :)
