Blue Screen of Death caused by HWA

Is your pc's PSU up to running your new 9800GTX?
Just throwing out ideas.

Also, just because it's new doesn't mean it isn't faulty. Not saying it is, but don't assume that it can't be.

Yes. Infact I've never had a blue screen of death after I've installed Windows.

im sure you know this, but display drivers can be funny, a seemingly clean install can fail, tried reinstalling the drivers? after a driver clean that is

Yes. As I said, I reinstall everything frequently.

Next time take a screenshot when you see the BSOD.
