What will this thread help?
Clickteam is working as fast as we can.
The only thing I could see speeding it up is if I put up a donation page and we get enough donations to hire additional programmers for the project.
Is that something the community wants or should we just let the current staff continue to work on it on the schedule announced, which they will resume as soon as Java is completed.
We're just expressing our gratitude against a new release
not like we're trying to rush you
Also why exactly are you prioriting Java higher than HWA? :V
One had to be picked to go first and it was Java.
But isn't the use of HWA much more relevant AND has a larger user group?
AND it was originally set to be released in january.
Yves is just immitating really big companies who don't care about when they release stuff to make clickteam look bigger! :D
No really, I'M waiting for HWA as well, but this nagging is really annoying me, you just have to wait until it's done - Sad but true. I agree that this is progressing too slow, and I predict that the release will have to wait another epoch like this, but we shouldn't boycott CT or something like this.
Yeah but can't you see how frustrating it is, as a professional software engineer, to keep what you're making on hold even longer due to Clickteam pushing back release dates?
I mean, first it was january, then it was July, then it was September and now it's October.
Atleast give us a realistic release date so we won't be getting too high hopes about the release if it's not gonna happen.
You're not helping by trying to put pressure on the CT staff. When you bought MMF2 you didn't pay for HWA. The release will happen, and you're getting that as a free bonus. You can really use a better attitude.
It upsets me how ungrateful some people here can be. I personally suggest Clickteam to not release betas in the future, just create the product and sell that as it is, and if you plan extra features that you did not initially promise such as HWA, announce them when they're complete so you can work in your own speed without people starting to demand release dates.
I'm working on some quite huge projects too. With Night Game, I know how hard it can be to know when something can be finished. If people would start to express disappointment about my hard work and require me to work faster or require me to tell them when I'd be done, I'd not even allow them to stay on my forum.
And yes, I do too desperately want a final HWA version and a HWA extension SDK. It's halting big things I'm working on too, and I doubt I consider my game development less serious than you consider yours. Yet, I take it easy and wait. Good things have to take it's time.
Hey hey hey what's with the attitude, It's not like I didn't wait, I've been waiting anxiously since January, where they said it'd be a week.Quote:

They didn't know. I have learnt the hard way to not give release dates before I know for sure I can finish it by then. I can agree guessing a final date was a mistake for their side, but the reason they don't want to give one now is most likely that they realize that it's better to not tell before they're sure they can be done by then.
Most major projects I'm waiting for says "It's done when it's done" in the FAQ, must be for the same reason. One example is the Mother 3 English translation. I still remember posts at the forum (doesn't exist now) that were like "Are you never going to be complete?" and "Let's face it, you're never going to finish this project!"... And yet, the translation is now done and in the testing stage, release is probably just a few weeks away.
