it crashes when you look all the way into a wall.
Re: Raycasting Maze Extension Bid Request
Not suprising, I don't think it's been built yet. Not properly, anyway :P
Re: Raycasting Maze Extension Bid Request
Indeed you will find bugs with this, it is simply a Quick conversions of the code listed below into a extension of MMF, thats why I am looking for Coding Warrior, whom can take on the challenge of this mantle....
Whom will it be?
Re: Raycasting Maze Extension Bid Request
Hi,
Didn't Villy take this challenge?
Re: Raycasting Maze Extension Bid Request
Villy has had to bow out due to some non-click related Issues and will not be able to continue, so it is back out to be bid on...
Re: Raycasting Maze Extension Bid Request
Hi,
has anyone accepted the job?
Such extension could open new horizons to mmf'users...
Re: Raycasting Maze Extension Bid Request
It can be always passed away by making traditional quasi 3D engine.
Re: Raycasting Maze Extension Bid Request
The irrlicht engine objects are far more advanced as is the open GL extension. If someone could invest some money into finishing development on these; then this would be worth something.

Re: Raycasting Maze Extension Bid Request
Using Irrlicht to get 3D with MMF?
Strange...
After reading some of the numerous topics talking about "3D in MMF", "Irrlicht / Open GL extensions", etc. I was thinking it would be better/easier to have an "raycasting" extension than an hazardous attempt to link a real 3D engine to MMF...
I don't want to reopen the "3D in MMF" debate but as MMF only does 2D, the best we can pretend is a raycasting 3D...
Well... MMF does 2D, and it does it (very) well! ;)
Re: Raycasting Maze Extension Bid Request
The 3d objects are already available and work faster. Just need to code an engine.
Re: Raycasting Maze Extension Bid Request
But a raycasting engine like wolf3d would be fantastic.
Re: Raycasting Maze Extension Bid Request
Check out the latest Issue of Klikdisc for a update on the forth coming Raycasting Engine Extension, You can see a Wolfenstein Game made in MMF with it on the new trailer!
Re: Raycasting Maze Extension Bid Request
Wow that looks cool! I thought that was OpenGL, but if the extension can do that then I'm impressed! :D
Re: Raycasting Maze Extension Bid Request
where do i find klikdisc?
Edit: nm, i found it. Looks great!
