Platform Problems!
Arrrggghhhh! Does ANYBODY else have this problem??
When my platform game's character collides with the bottom of a solid object, he stops his horizontal movement, ignores all controls, and falls straight down! Also, when he collides with the corner of a solid object, he "Glides" through it and gradually falls!
Does anybody know how to fix this???

Re: Platform Problems!
Can you upload a file so we can see what your doing?
-
Re: Platform Problems!
Well, it is an "active object."
Right click on the object.
Create->Backdrop object
Then click on on runtime options right next to size/proportion.
Obstacle Type -> Platform
Some odd reason you can post file attachments so I uploaded it here.
SuperKirby64 example to his problem
Load the .mfa file from TGF2

Re: Platform Problems!
Sorry, but that isn't my problem.
My problem is with solid objects, not platforms.
Please note that I am in NO way new to TGF2.
I'll upload an example soon..

Ok! Here it is:

(I told you it would be soon)
This is the most PATHETIC animation I have EVER done!

Re: Platform Problems!
An EXE file does not really help anyone to see the error.

Re: Platform Problems!
Did it not send the demo movement recording that should show what is wrong? I'll upload it again in a different format (TGF2)

Re: Platform Problems!
PLEASE NOTE: I am using the standard platform code.
(ACTIVE 1 collides with the background - Stop*)
*Bounce does the same thing
Would screenshots help?

Re: Platform Problems!
no but an MFA so people can look at it would.
You may need to do some more advanced eventing like ZEB or DavidN's fastloop platform movment if the built in movement won't do what you want.

Re: Platform Problems!
I tried Zeb, and the problem persists in that game, too.
I'll send the MFA soon.
I also noticed that the problem is NOT in the original The Games Factory.
