Hello, I want have an extension for "normal" programming. I know there are Lua extension, but I'm not familiar with this language. I think about something like BASIC or Python. And I need to access frame's objects from code. Sometimes simpler is coding by text, not point-n-click.
Have you looked at the lua object at all? It's not a bad language.
Yep, Lua can allow you to do what you want. Get the Lua++ object. Though I agree that a native scripting language would be shiny.
I believe the clicking style is moving in the right direction but does need to be refined more in MMF to allow for easier control statement flows and program development.
The FastFunction and FastLoop has been a big help for me as has the ability to add notes to the action code. I look forward the the next release to see what new features Clickteam has saved up for us.
Learn LUA as it's quite powerful and will accomplish what you want.
I tried to learn Lua, but I unable to do it. It's too hard and complicated for me. Simpler languages would be great - if you have many of it you can use the simplest language for you. For me there are: Basic, Python, Pascal (not in this order).
You understand Python but not Lua?
You could try VB.NET using Greyhill's .Net extension. Which seems far more reliable than both Lua objets at the moment (no offense meant).
Yes, both Lua extensions are very unstable (and I wrote one of them!)
Lua+ at least will be sorted out eventually, although I do have a growing number of other commitments.
