detecting sound comming from speakers... possible?

is it possible to detect the volume of the sound coming out of the speakers? if so, is there a way to check the level of bass sound?

Yes, but its really, hard... :(

You need to download either an sdk or a DLL and have a pretty good knowledge of how computers interpret sound.

Also it would be different for every computer, as they use different systems, drivers, and speakers.
