[Request] VST object
The people of this post: www.clickteam.com/epicenter/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=156117&page=1
have concluded that we are in need of a VST effects plug-in object.
What this should do is allow mmf2 to support VST runtime. Once loaded into a audio channel, VST would modify the samples with various effects. It should also allow for loading of a preset bank and a preset patch, and allow to bring up it's GUI panel for editing.
Very basically, a realtime sample tweaker.
More info here.
Thank you.

Re: [Request] VST object
+1 vote for VST loading or a DSP audio effects set
It would be good to have this to make interesting effects in games and it would also open up the audio side of MMF more and possibly allow for a sequencer or audio editing app to be made etc. For games having the option to do this would be much better than having pre-made effects because not only does it cut down on file size but they could be interactive making much better results.
If not a VST loader a basic set of DSP effects would be great so things like -
State variable filter (SVF) - Lowpass, highpass, bandpass with cutoff and resonance and maybe options for different pole amounts
Delay - With time, feedback, mix and possibly pre delay and stereo options for ping pong delay effects etc.
Reverb - Just a basic reverb effect to make a room space etc, a convolution reverb would be better though if it allowed loading of impulse responses wav's though. If convolution you could make any reverb effect and also other effects like delays possibly.
EQ - Basic Parametric EQ with a few bands to adjust the frequencies of sounds.
Others like chorus and phaser would be great but those would be the main things i would want anyway.

Full vst support would be awesome!

Re: [Request] VST object
Onu features this... doesn't it? At least it has the modularity for it to be added

Re: [Request] VST object
MechaBowser as far as i know for VST support it does not no.
When you say modularity there is a SDK for onu i think though yes, quite a cool idea to have expandable extensions also, i doubt the SDK features support for VST though as it's not part of the main extensions set. Maybe if onu is still being updated hopefully they might be interested in adding this though.
A dedicated effects extension like i listed above with filter, delay, reverb and eq would also be nice as people could just use those without any licensing problems also.

It's a really great idea, we must have this Extra Extension.
(if i can use Korg Legacy VSTi it will be amazing!)
