Yeah, I'll admit it. I added some code into the latest build designed to crash any UPnP devices on the network.
Not.
Jesus Jamie... could you at least take this seriously? I feel that we are reporting a legitimate problem that you are simply scoffing at for no identifiable reason.
If 2 users (out of a small number of people who have actually tried the latest update) are having the same problem on totally separate machines, surely it's an issue worth looking in to?
No, it isn't. All OINC does is connect to a host and send/receive data, like any other networked program. There's nothing to look into.
Software shouldn't be able to crash hardware, and if it can/does, it's a hardware fault and not a software fault.
It doesn't crash my hardware as I can still use it to connect to web pages using my browser. It must block the port up something... I don't know, i'm just guessing due to the results (and the fact i'm not on that PC at the moment). Did you try my suggestion of running 4 instances of the same app on the same pc and logging them all in?
So there's no reason at all why the old server exe would crash and temporarily disable my network just because you updated OINC (which I didn't update)?
Anyways I updated and it works fine now, only problem is blast is not working for whatever reason.
How do you know blast isn't working? I don't know. I'll go test it later.
For Steven, try connecting to four different servers in each of those applications.
All the sending worked.Quote:

As I wrote before I have the following problem:
after updating the OINC server and client to version 1.0b, when I run 3 copies of the client, everything works fine, but when I try to join the fourth copy of the client, it can't join the server (the first three copies of the programs are working properly).
After that no client can not join a server.
It helps just to restart the server.
sorry for my english
I think it's probably the flood protection. Try changing FloodGain (not the others) to 0 in OINC_Server.ini.
