Hi, can someone PLEASE test the first level of my Mario fan game. The main issue I think I might have is lag. The current frame rate is 60, but if you think I need to lower it please tell me!

I tested it and I never experienced any lag at all.
Everything looks great!
The jumping is a little hard to grasp and I keep dying after I get to the forth question mark, where are you supposed to go from there?
How the hell do you double jump? The OK symbol hardly ever appeared for me. You need to fix that.
Needs a lot of work. Like bigredron mentioned, it's hard to perform the double jump. I think you have it set up to only work after you've read the info box... but it needs to stay working after you've read it. Not force you to go back and read each time.
Also I don't like the fact that mario just falls over dead when you touch the spikes. That's weird and totally not like a mario game. Secondly, the detection wasn't that great as I felt like I could easily get a lot closer to the spikes but I kept dying half a block from getting near them.
Are you supposed to be able to get past the spikes? Because I sure couldn't do it... couldn't figure out how either...
As far as controls go, this needs a lot of work. Mario is known for being the best platformer of all time... so you have a high standard to meet.
Wow, Im so sorry that no one was able to finish the level because of my mistake. I forgot to change the position of the arrow at the beginning of the level. I re uploaded it so you can finish it now. :D. Anyway, the jumping is kind of hard to get used too so I added in a sort of instructional animation in the second arrow. ( if you can't figure it out from that.. I don't know what to tell you) I tried to make the jumping work like super mario 64 except easier, but apparently that isn't working, but maybe the new upload should fix that. Please anyone that tested and anyone that hasn't tested it should check out the new upload, because now you can see the best feature of my Mario fan game.

I tried it, and have to say that I don't like the double, and triple jumping system at all. It seems to take a lot of extra time, if you do it wrong, making the player frustrated, and therefore taking the fun out of it. The rest of it I liked a lot! :) Perhaps if you made the jump "OK" bubble thing appear faster? Just a thought. The gravity parts are well done and fun.

Ok that is much better!
I like your gravity effect (it's suppose to be like mario galaxy, right?)
The only down side that I didn't like is still the jumping!
Waiting for the OK to jump is frusterating. I get what your trying to do (I think) but having to wait any amount of time to do a double jump, triple jump, or whatever is just not good!
With that said, I really like your ideas here and if you do something about the jump I wouldn't mind playing the completed version.
Cheers!
fun fun! The ok thing should appear faster though.
Its like Super Mario Sunshine (I think so anyway) with the health and double/triple jumping - cool!
Definitely a lot more fun now that I can get past the spikes. I like the gravity system, though you should definitely give a good reason for it's existence. If it's going to be a big theme in your game to have mario running up walls and on the ceilings, you should incorporate it into the story, like how it's done in mario galaxy.
I agree with everyone else on the double jumping. You should just be able to do this fluidly and naturally. If you're having trouble coding the double/triple jump, I'm sure someone can help you. Having to wait for the "ok" really takes you out of the moment. It seems like you implemented that system because you couldn't figure out how to do it the right way.
Overall, pretty fun. Goombas definitely need to squish instead of pop off the ground when you jump on them. =P
+1 for the double jumping issue. I don't understand it's purpose.
Thanks everyone for testing my level! I changed the jumping, so now the 'OK' appears immediately for the double and triple jump so there's no delay.
I'm guessing no one had any issues with lag so I'll keep the frame rate at 60.
Thanks.
