Re: RIGHT TO REPLY
I'm not representing ClickTeam in any way, but I don't think you should use Game Maker 7 over MMF2.
There is tons of support!!! Ask away! :D

Re: RIGHT TO REPLY
Um ok, well I'm not 100% sure if this is a joke account or not but... firstly if you are considering working with Game Maker then these forums aren't the place to request help with the product. GameMaker isn't Clickteam software - The Games Factory and Multimedia Fusion 2 are, and this is where you'll find the support from other budding game makers.
For support with MMF2 I would just say that for the moment tinker around with the program and discover it for yourself. Use the built in engines to create your first games and don't try anything too advanced. Nobody will ever create an exquisitely brilliant game on their first go. Just practice, practice, practice with all aspects, from designing levels, to graphics and I think fairly soon you would have a product that you would enjoy playing. Then consider - would other people enjoy it? Maybe upload your game to the internet to such places as The Daily Click (www.create-games.com) and take note of constructive critisism.
Then for coding issues, simply post a question here in the forums (or even search using the search box as your query may have been asked before) and await a reply. People here are very tolerant and very helpful.
You can't run before you can walk! Hope this helps you a bit.

Re: RIGHT TO REPLY
Did you check out the massive amount of tutorials here
http://www.clickteam.com/website/usa/tutorials/
While I haven't compared our offerings of tutorials to others I think we have a pretty good selection for those who need some extra help on how to build something using TGF/MMF

Re: RIGHT TO REPLY
Quite honestly, MMF2 has a lot more features and export options than Game Maker. I tried Game Maker for a bit. It didn't even support alpha transparency in sprites (at the time, they might have added that since). After messing around for about an hour, I promptly uninstalled it.
Unless you really have your heart set on using scripting, I see no point to using Game Maker.
