raycaster installation problems

I installed the new raycaster extension but it won´t load in MMF. I tried opening the demo too and it said that it needed the raycaster demo. When I tried to load it manually the insert object popup opened but the OK button was grayed out. The same thing happens if I try to load the object manually in a new project. It´s not detecting the object or something. I can see the .mfx file with all the other extensions. Any ideas?
I am using a PC with Windows XP, service pack 2.

Make sure you are using the latest beta #249 build.

where can I find the 249 beta build? when I try to download "latest update" it gives me 248 which I am already running.
