You are officialy The man!
Yay!
they keep coming :) I have beta #10 :o better update
Woo!
I've been without the internet for a while now and am only now going to start using Lacewing for my online draughts game. Is Lacewing pretty stable now?
Cheers,
Steve
Why don't you try it and find out? :)
Great answer Jamie. Yes Steven, it is pretty stable.
Marv
Sorry! I won't be able until the weekend. Am looking forward to it :)
Jamie, something with pushing shorts and such doesn't work in Flash... I haven't isolated the problem yet, but I do know that it works great in EXE...
I've been trying to connect to the aquadasoft server but am having delay issues in the server responding or not responding at all. Are you updating it or anything Jamie? Just trying to connect, set name etc and sign on to a channel.
Steve
No trouble here, my latest version of my File Sender application uses "aquadasoft.com" and has no issues connecting what so ever. Does it work for you? http://www.LB-Stuff.com/Tools/#FileSender
I've been having some issues...
The aquadasoft.com server works perfectly here guys, not sure what issues you're referring to :(
EDIT: ... even though there might be a channel left issue, hold on!
It was a strange issue for a minute, now its gone.
Jamie: The flash version of Lacewing is failing me:

I'll give it some more experimenting before I confirm the bug though! :)
I need you to isolate the bug in an MFA before I can fix it. Linking me to a SWF and telling me it "doesn't work" doesn't help in the slightest :)
I know.

exe works fine. I'll pm source
I erroneously uploaded an old version of pylacewing to aquadasoft.com, it has been fixed now ;)

Jamie/Mathias,
Still appear to be having trouble with the aquadasoft server for some reason. It won't let me sign on to a channel. Is it all running OK?
Cheers,
Steve
Can you provide an example? Everything works perfectly here.
I think the server is somewhat unreliable - everyone's having a variety of problems at different times. It could also be the object. Main thing is, some people are having different problems. UDP absolutely doesn't work for my game. However Mathias reported did a bug check and reported okay. I've not had problems with signing on a channel, but some other people have - I suspect there's something wrong that's not specfic to an action/condition etc.
I think you are doing something wrong!
Send a Application!
By the time I'm writing this post, the server works fine for me. I tested UDP, TCP and signing on to different channels. All worked nice and fast. Could the server load be so high at some times? Although I doubt it :P
Could be the bug is ping-related? (slow connection/long distance = bugs and vice versa)
Here you go guys. Don't think i'm doing anything wrong but won't always connect to aquadasoft and can't get it to sign on to a channel.
Cheers,
Steve
It works fine for me (once I figured out you had to put a name in the edit box).
I know that that's not very helpful.
I can also confirm it happens with no issues. Like Dynasoft said, I know that's not very helpful. :(
How strange... I did have a similar problem before when we were all testing OINC but I believe Jamie fixed it (not sure how).
Steve
Try using a download manager to download the new Lacewing update(s)-- sometimes, Firefox caches my downloads, so when I try to update, it gives me the old, cached, file ;)
Ah OK. I'll try that :)
I don't think it's the extension.. it's never had this problem before, and it's only the aquadasoft.com server.
Well, it *could* be because the client isn't doing the UDP handshake (spotted some errors on the server), but that would be a client issue.
Whether the client does a UDP handshake or not, the TCP functions should behave normally..
In any case, I'm not getting the issue.
Me neither.
