Get Object Issues

I saw that the get object had been updated in the released extensions. So I downloaded and installed the files in the data and runtime directories. I verified the files are there.

I ran MMF2 but I cannot find it listed when I try to add the object. Should I be loading it from somewhere else?

And the Extensions directory, I hope? You should just extract the ZIP to your MMF2 folder.

Which build of MMF2 are you using?

This is tied also to my other post on using the fusion updater. In this case I did as you suggested and used the extract to the MMF2 folder. That worked. I do not know why. As I noted the files were in the proper folders Extensions and Data/Runtime.

As you see from the other post the same issue is happening with the Fusion Updater with SQLite3 and SQL Server extensions. They were installed successfully as reported by Fusion Updater and I verifed the files are there but MMF2 does not see them.

MMF2 isn't designed to open zip folders for you.

No, No. It appears there is a problem with Fusion Updater and Widnows 7 64 bit??? Was able to bypass Fusion Updater and download from the Release Extensions and then installed using the .exe files. They show up.

There's a problem with Fusion Updater: Don't use it. ;)

Did you restart MMF2 after copying the MFX files? You can also click Refresh in the "Insert an object" dialog. Unless you do that you won't see any new extensions.

Yes I tried all of that. There appears to be a problem with the Fusion Updater and Windows 7.

I used the Fusion Updater about three days ago, with Windows 7 64-bit edition. Worked fine.

Yes Fusion Updater works with Windows 7 64bits. I use it in order to update extensions but I try to avoid installing extensions with it because it doesn't install the help files which are very useful, of cours. Anyway Fusion Updater is very useful when you have to deal with many extensions.

Sounds like we are getting mixed results. Some say it works fine on 64 bit Windows and others have problems.
