A problem has occured while building the SWF...

A simple application with a String attached to it...

I am using Windows Vista (64 bit)... I even tried a BLANK application and still got the error message...

Do you have the latest version of java? Java isn't needed in Flash, but I heard it's needed to compile it.

If your using a blank app and it doesn't work, then i think you should make sure for definitely you have installed the latest Java..if you have, reboot and try again.

PS lots of people are using the flash export with no problem, so keep calm :) you havent wasted anything, and i am sure we will find the issue, but remember there may be a small delay while we try to locate the issue, but in most cases it is a local (PC) issue.

I put in the Flash Player and String extensions and still that error shows. I'll scan my PC again.

What version of Java do you have on your computer?

The SWF compiler actually has to use java to build the SWF files (Something along those lines)
