Feature Request: Named and Unlimited Actionpoints
It is fairly easy to attach several active objects (I'll call "limbs") at various coordinates relative to another object (I'll call "the body"). However, if the body is rotated, the limbs (unless set at the actionpoint) don't rotate along the body.
I think it would be nice to be able to set and name multiple actionpoints within an active object and then have a stereo button to toggle rotation sensitivity.
Am I the only one who thinks this would be useful? Maybe I'm just crazy?

Have you tried popcorns tutorial " Body Parts" ? , If I remember it explains a way of doing this
And no... you are not crazy
Re: Feature Request: Named and Unlimited Actionpoints
Don't forget your good friends Sine and Cosine!
Re: Feature Request: Named and Unlimited Actionpoints
I think I need a Sine and Cosine tutorial. Can anyone lead me in the right direction?
At the risk of further exposing my stupidity: I never took anything beyond early Algebra and Geometry in school... so hopefully a good tutorial could explain the concepts while using them.
...
I looked at sine and cosine stuff on Wikipedia... and some of it almost makes sense (in my feeble mind), but I'm not sure how to put it to use.
Say for example, I have this simple Active Object:

The red pixel is my hotspot. The blue pixel is my actionpoint. The two green pixels are the coordinates I would like to find regardless of rotation.
How would I go about calculating it?

Bye relative angle versus new angle.
Here is a tutorial on Sine and COsine :) I managed to learn how to use them before I learned them in school XD

Re: Feature Request: Named and Unlimited Actionpoints
Very cool! I think I'd seen that tutorial before, but didn't have an application for it. Thanks... I was able to get things working in little time at all! :)
I still like the idea of named and unlimited actionpoints, but this is a very good alternative!
