I was able to figure out how to do this using the "Pinball Movement" to make it look natural, and allow the player to run across the bridge as it falls.

EDIT: i forgot to mention that the active object in this example is set to "Platform" on the properties (left, right and shift keys)
Just an FYI, you should seriously consider upgrading to the latest build. (#249) ;)
what are some of the benefits of the upgrade?
Too many to mention. It is way more stable, lots of bug fixes, added features, etc.
