Actually it does help because you can just set the value back to 0 when you want to run the events again.

Sorry, but could you post some example groups and I will wire-it-up for you? I don't know exactly what you want your groups like.

The example is a very simple case. My actual game uses this sort of grouping on a much greater scale. Just pause/unpause the game many times to see the problem that occurs. I need the action that repeats (due to pausing/unpausing) to only happen when the child group is activated directly.
