IPad and Flash Applications as Exe MMF
I was doing some research on the new Penguin IPad books that are coming out and they sure look like those old multimedia edutainment CD Roms from the 1990s. Like "The Human Body", "Vampire Diary (or similar) and kids interactive books. They run as exe files and are interactive with the same type of button touch usage-video, text and sound. Wow, is the non gaming market opening up again?

My question to the Clickteam designers is-Jeff, Yves, et all-are these things done in flash? (without making the files too large) I cannot seen to find the file type for these applications but is MMF able to create these types of edutainment apps for IPads as SWF downloadables?
Education (much like it was in the 1990s for the edutainment CD roms) seems to be opening up to this. Once again a non gaming market.
Thoughts-
Re: IPad and Flash Applications as Exe MMF
Ipad can't run Flash applications as apple won't allow it.
MMF can make any type of 2D game or application and Edutainment apps using animation, video, sounds and the like would be really easy.
Some of the programming brains at Clickteam are working on an iphone exporter and as far as I know the iPad is about the same so hopefully that exporter will do both.
Disclaimer -- I have only actually touched an iPhone 2 times and handed it back quickly :)

Disclaimer 2 -- There are a few extensions to do simple 3D ;)

Thanks for the quick reply.
This may redirect to a new market for MMF. I really have to identify the file type but do keep all posted on the IPhone exporter. When I discover the file type the Penguin IPad books are using I will be happy to post.
The thing I hesitate on is the size of the application using all those items-video, text, and button interaction-it would really have to be compact for a quick online downloadable. So that file type is going to be a have-to-know.
Thanks.
