Masking colors with Active picture during runtime
I am working on a picture editor.
When I import pictures during runtime with a black background, it comes up clear (transparent in the background like it should)
When I take a picture of that object and save it, then insert the picture I just saved, the background is not masked on the new picture I inserted, even though it is the same content as the original picture. The background is still black, but it is no longer transparent.
I am using the screen capture object.
Is there a reason it does this?
If so, is there a way to make the background clear during runtime?

Sorry, I don't understand. Do you mean that the screenshot you take is different than what is visible on screen?
Re: Masking colors with Active picture during runtime
The screen capture object takes .bmp images. You can import your screenshot into the alpha object and re-export it as a .png, and then it will be transparent.

That works perfect,
Is there a way to make a selector during runtime like most of the other objects that save?
Re: Masking colors with Active picture during runtime
With the color selector object? ;)
Re: Masking colors with Active picture during runtime
When I go to save the alpha file, it requires a set path.
If I go to save an active picture file, I can prompt the user to put the file where he/she wants it and call it what he/she wants.
The alpha ocject does not let you do this from what I can see.
It also seems to not like pulling text from an editbox for a file name.
It's very important to be able to save files where the user wants and what filename the user wants, because it's a graphics software I'm working on.
I'm making a software that makes it a lot easier to get the objects in tilesets a lot easier and MMF friendly. ;)
Re: Masking colors with Active picture during runtime
Use the File object's File Selector, and in the alpha channel object, when the browser comes up asking you for a file path, choose "Expression" in the bottom right.

Yeah, but that's not working.
Like if I have it grab the text from a take editor, it does not save. Just discovered another problem as well. When I scroll down passed the original screen frame, it does not capture the image, even if the image is visable.

What? It works for me :\
Re: Masking colors with Active picture during runtime
How do you attach a file?
I'll just put it up.
