Change in Mochi Statistics - Anyone Else???
Hey all, a bit of a different question for you; not the usual problems with MMF2. I noticed a difference in my Mochi revenue and wanted to know if this was happening for anyone else...
Today, for my 10 games, I have 714 impressions, and a total of $1.16. This is an eCPM of $1.62.
That's really high for Mochi, and for I've usually seen it around $0.30 to $0.60.
This change has pretty much started yesterday with one game, now more and more of my games are rising in eCPM today. Through a little checking up on the analytics, it appears that the high eCPM is coming from the United Kingdom with the host games.mochiads.com.
Has anyone else noticed that they're making a lot more money than usual? I'm not complaining at all....in fact quite the opposite. If this is a starting trend, then that's very good news for us. :)
Thanks, I just want to see if anyone else noticed this!

Re: Change in Mochi Statistics - Anyone Else???
I was sure this was going to be a "oh, it's just your game thing" but I've just checked my dashboard and my revenue is much higher too. And yes, it's all from MochiGames.com. I wonder how long it'll hold for?
Re: Change in Mochi Statistics - Anyone Else???
I thought it was just my game too, yesterday, but now today, about half of them have increased.
Hopefully it will hold for a while. Perhaps it's from new ad changes for the display? It's good to know it's not just me! This is very good news for me as well as other people; I'm getting over a dollar a day at the low end of my usual views!
If anyone else wants to check theirs, see if the country with the highest eCPM is the United Kingdom. That's what I saw. So maybe mochi is trying to succeed in the UK now.
Re: Change in Mochi Statistics - Anyone Else???
You are getting 1 dollar for 10 games or 1 dollar for every game?
Re: Change in Mochi Statistics - Anyone Else???
Total. I'd be very happy if it were for every game :) but sadly, no :(
Re: Change in Mochi Statistics - Anyone Else???
I've gotten 4x the regular earnings today!!
that is, I've earned 4 cents >_>
I hate you all. :(
Jk lol keep up the good work :D
Re: Change in Mochi Statistics - Anyone Else???
Nothing happening for me. Maybe it's because I don't have an account with mochi or any flash games?
Re: Change in Mochi Statistics - Anyone Else???
four times zero is still zero LB ;-)
Re: Change in Mochi Statistics - Anyone Else???
1 dollar for 10 games seems a bit low. Can you post a link to one of your games?
Re: Change in Mochi Statistics - Anyone Else???
No change to my ecpm really. Mainly because most of my plays have been coming from China!
Re: Change in Mochi Statistics - Anyone Else???
1 dollar for 10 games that aren't professional quality isn't that bad :P
These are my games, Skyhunter:

Nothing too great, but $1 isn't that low.
Re: Change in Mochi Statistics - Anyone Else???
Yeah, they are not very quality and looks like most of them were made very quickly. So i agree, 1$ is actually not that bad at all. Thanks for replying.
I am wondering how much does more quality games with longer gameplay are able to make.
Re: Change in Mochi Statistics - Anyone Else???
I personally thought WordSpin was a good-quality game :P the others.....not so much.
Steven's games have done well :) They're very high quality.
Re: Change in Mochi Statistics - Anyone Else???
wawow, i can confirm an increase
Domain Revenue eCPM
games.mochimedia.com $1.35 $675.00
too bad my game only had 80 impressions @ games.mochimedia.com lol!
well i think with things like this happening every now and again , you can expect to make more than $100 per million views , because it depends on the value of the ad viewing, right?

:D Now that should be the default eCPM always, then we would be talking about real business here (even with my games), haha! :D
Note that your daily revenue, let's say for Monday, might change on Tuesday even with no changes in the number of ad impressions for Monday. So the real-time stats are not final. For example my best Mochi day was initially something like $180 in real-time stats at the end of the day, but that came down to ~$150 on the next day, i.e. the revenue from the same day updated and lowered on the following day.

Yes, and that value of ad view varies a lot by market, so your earnings are heavily dependent on where your game is played. If you make 1M impressions all from the US, you may make $1000. On the other hand, the same volume from China could be as low as $50. The average eCPM through Mochi is around $0.40, i.e. $400 for 1M impressions.
