From the big image, it extract AND SAVES the smaller version of the icon, and does the same for the loading screen. Therefore it will work on any device.
Francois - but it should still keep the higher resolution versions too right? Because I mentioned on the other thread that it's not using the higher resolution icons and I don't think it's using the higher resolution splash screen either.
See this image:

In green - high resolution, in red - standard resolution.
I save noth resolution using Apples name encoding ("@2") in the high resolution pictures. SO I do what apple want, and I do not know why it is using the lowres picture. I'll check maybe I have a problem in the names...
Me is confused, what i am suggesting is the icon is too big :) it should be 57x57... of course i could make it double the size for mmf to resize it, but that seems strange if you have already read and understood apples rules... or perhaps i am misunderstanding something somewhere :D
Jason - iPhone 4 uses 114x114 for its icons, iPhone 3/3gs use 57x57. The idea is that in MMF you are supposed to design it at the higher resolution and then MMF will automatically downscale it for iPhone 3/3gs. What I said was that it is saving the 3gs version but not using the original 114x114 when it should.
Thank you for looking into it, Francois.
Ah so iphone 4 is larger, well strange :D but thanks for the explanation.
