Adding a FLA splash screen to a MMF2-created SWF
Hello,
I found a sponsor for one of my Flash games (thanks to DavidN's article on The Daily Click). However, the sponsor just asked me to add a splash screen at the beginning of the game, and sent me a FLA file. I'm supposed to add it to my game.
Is there a way to do this, with or without MMF2?
Thanks

I guess the only way to do this is to open the FLA in Flash (download a trial; or open the SWF if they gave you it) and try to recreate it in MMF2.
Re: Adding a FLA splash screen to a MMF2-created SWF
You can do it by downloading the Flash CS5 demo, opening the .fla file and using Flash's batch export feature to export each frame of the animation to a .png. Then import them into an Active Object in Flash.
I've done this but by using my Universities version of Flash CS5, I don't think there's much difference between that and the time-limited demo though. No watermarks, I hope.

Thanks for your anwser :)
I hope there is a simpler solution though - for instance, using Mochi's Live Update add a preloader to the game with an ad, which is roughly what I'd like to do : adding a introduction splash screen (without a preloader, in opposition to Mochi) to a SWF file.

@DizzyDoo : Maybe I'll try this. Thanks :)

Some great info here, I used to printscreen the animation and create some sort of clone :)
Re: Adding a FLA splash screen to a MMF2-created SWF
I've just done one for Armor Games and was tearing my hair out in how to export their 100+ frames and get the sound to match up. Did it in the end by batch exporting it (make sure you have enough frames in the main frame) and recording the audio using Audacity. Worked a treat :)
I was thinking of posting the .mfa of all the sponsor pre-loaders i've done here to try and create some sort of repository.

Re: Adding a FLA splash screen to a MMF2-created SWF
It would be an awesome idea ! I've just downloaded Adobe Flash and I'll post the png frames once I've managed to export them.
Though I'm almost sure there is a better way to do this ;)
Re: Adding a FLA splash screen to a MMF2-created SWF
If you have trouble exporting, you can send me the fla in PM and I can do it for you.
And Steven, that would be a great Idea. You should create a thread that would be updated periodically.
