I don't have a demonstration MFA for this one, but I've found that if you have a Quick Backdrop object on a high layer and create an active object on a layer beneath it, the active will show as if on top of the Quick Backdrop object.

I'd go further than that - I'd say it was exactly the same. :)
I'm having a similar issue with date & time object. Active objects are being rendered in front of it, even if they belong to a lower layer.
BHGames: You probably forgot to untick the "Display as background" option in the Date&Time object. I cannot reproduce otherwise.
About the actives overlapping quick backdrops on higher layers:
I'm aware of this bug and I know what needs to be done to fix it, but I don't have time to include it in beta 11 sadly.
Andos, you're right. "Display as background" was ticked :p
Still on the PC runtime with that option ticked it shows on top of the active objects on the secondary layer.
