all true about mmf2 mobile java
the idea is great. Many people want to make games for phones without any programming skills. Currently, opportunities like the old "click and play. " Fervor was high but we all stood at a standstill. It's really a lot of construction errors which discouraged me to create anything (such as flickering of the screen, disappearing objects, poor graphic compression, 300kb runtime only ...). I think too much Clickteam wanted and now there is no time to continue. A pity because they could earn a lot on this.
Re: all true about mmf2 mobile java
Many people have constructed Java Mobile games in the past with no problem.
The Android and XNA runtime will soon be available. These runtime will be better than the Java runtime, and the devices on which they run have a lot more power. With the iPhone runtime, you will have access to the 3 major phone platforms.
Re: all true about mmf2 mobile java
I agree with you. But the difference is that every phone supports java. iphone is the directional, has more options. Java is a general. Therefore, it is worthwhile to continue developing the mobile runtime. XNA for the Xbox or just a WF 7?

What!?! Isn't XNA Microsoft's 3D game application development environment. How can MMF export 3D stuff for XNA?
Re: all true about mmf2 mobile java
NO it uses the 2D part of XNA, but still it is hardware accelerated.
The Windows version of XNA application is finished. I still have the XBOX and Windows Phone version. I think we will be in beta stage in about a month or so.
Re: all true about mmf2 mobile java
sounds very interesting. I wonder how it will work. You have a huge potential and I appreciate you for it. You thought about maybe Symbian platform? That would be very difficult due to the number of Symbian version.

Wow that is great news, since i code with XNA sometimes i am just wondering does this export source code so we could optimize or add to it etc or are the exports built?
I guess even if it is built then just like most of the other runtimes this would have a SDK also which would hopefully be available to 3rd party devs. So extra things could be added via a extension, if it exported to code though i am guessing this would get a load of interest from current XNA coders. Anyway though this will be very cool. :D
Re: all true about mmf2 mobile java
It would probably be built. And even if not, it wouldn't help you much, you'd have the MMF interpreter and a binary data version of the events, not XNA code of the events!
Re: all true about mmf2 mobile java
you will need to pay for it as a flash exporter?

Well if it was closed and had no SDK i guess i would probably question buying it. A editor would be much faster to make things which is great but then again there are already free editors or commercial alternatives for XNA which make source code.
There will always be people who don't want to code but with XNA it is basically a coder based community anyway, so to get any interest from the current user base it needs that type of thing really. If it has a SDK and decent range of ported objects and new XNA based objects then it would be a must buy however.
Re: all true about mmf2 mobile java
I would put money on it having an extension SDK.
Re: all true about mmf2 mobile java
The XNA exporter will create Visual Studio projects that you can edit later.
Re: all true about mmf2 mobile java
super. Very good news. Applications also exported or not? How much will it cost?
Re: all true about mmf2 mobile java
Nice, that is great news :)
Re: all true about mmf2 mobile java
Applications Will be exported of course. The price is Not yet set...
Re: all true about mmf2 mobile java
and whether the runtime iphone, android will have to pay?
