kcwctrl problems
Hi
I'm having problems opening one of my projects. It's a file I've been working on for quite some time, and now out of nowhere I can't open it because mmf2 can't load the kcwctrl.mfx extension. The extension is of course installed and I can open the project in the normal mmf2, the problem only occurs in mmf2 HWA (which is what I've been making the game in). Anyone know what's causing this? I've tried reinstalling everything but it disn't work. I really need to be able to open the project!

Re: kcwctrl problems
Copy the file Extensions\kcwctrl.mfx to Extensions\HWA\kcwctrl.mfx

Re: kcwctrl problems
I did not know that the Window Control object needed an HWA version, what does it even do that involves HWA?

Re: kcwctrl problems
It shouldn't, or at least didn't used to.

Re: kcwctrl problems
Someone else recently had this exact same problem with kcwctrl.mfx when trying to open one of my files.
I'd guess there must be several versions of the object, and since it's not available as a separate download it makes me think the object (or something relating to it) was changed in a recent build of MMF2 - have you tried installing older versions of MMF2 / HWA ?

Re: kcwctrl problems
Maybe CT can check this fiasco out. Actually it shouldn't be up to paid users to install 15 different versions of MMF2/HWA.

Re: kcwctrl problems
I think that he simply has to update both regular MMF2 and HWA to the same build of MMF2 altogether...

Re: kcwctrl problems
You do. All of the extensions are limited to the most recent build available when they were created, so if you update MMF2 regular, it updates the extensions. But then you load it in an old HWA build and it is incompatible. They need to both be kept up to date.
