Click Convenion 2011 video coverage

Hi there,

In the main thread I had to answer the poll with "Definatly not coming". Not because I don't won't to come but rather because I live on the other side of the world and can't afford to get there.

Now I figure I'm not the only one who won't be able to make it to the party over there in Cambridge, so for those of us who can't come, would some one be so kind as to film the presentations and talks and upload them to YouTube or BlipTV or something like that? Perhaps we could organise a dedicated Click Convention YouTube channel.

Some people have talked about streaming, witch is nice, however date lines and time zones can make being there live a big haste if you have to work, or it happens to take place at 2am where you live. Witch I think is another good reason to have the videos uploaded to YouTube or BlipTV or something similar (sorry I don't actually know of any other video sharing sites but I'm sure there are others).

Anyway, from what I understand previous conventions haven't been well covered, I remember seeing a few videos from last year scattered around the place. Perhaps if we start now we can have better organising and more comprehensive coverage.

They were fully covered since 2007 one. But Simon still haven't released the 2010 ones but they were recorded.

Tis a pity also that answers to some of the questions on the CT forums are: CC2011.

Disthron, there will be streaming and videos after the event. This is of course secondary to the convention priorities and what we put on for those who attend in person and pay.

There is footage of last year but the audio was so degraded that it was taking hours of processing for every 30 mins of footage. I quite literally just have not had 40 hours or more spare to restore and edit it I'm afraid.

He means that a lot of the questions on the forums have been answered with "All will be revealed at CC2011" and similar. :)

Ah. Well people have to understand that the convention is a showcase event for Clickteam and they want to save the big announcements for it, that's a big part of what people go for. I know that not everyone able to attend but it's not like Apple would tell people what is going to be announced early because they can't make it to a press launch ;)

SToP_GAP I believe that any video content is better than no video content at all.

Well, for people last year the same production and no video to speak about. Some people can't come to the conventions and have no idea what went on. The attendees/presenters/forum question answerers are clueless. SToP_GAP, have you ever heard of a pensioner? Fixed income? And CT is not Apple.

Every time I attend a Clickteam Convention I post a detailed report of events once I get home so you can expect a report from me some time after Tuesday 23rd August.
