Do App's have Quit buttons?

This is a bit of a strange one. I've never actually seen an App with a Quit button, but when I tested it in one of mine, the App does indeed quit, or at least gets put into the background, I'm returned to the icons screen. What are your thoughts on having a Quit button in an App?

Apple actually forbids you from having a quit button in your app.

It is part of their user interface guidelines
(which are more like User Interface Follow-These-Instructions-Or-We-Will-Not-Approve-Your-App-lines)
