Touch not recognised in sub-app

I'm having trouble with touch not being recognised in a sub-app.
Basically i want to put a scrolling text window in as a sub-app into my frame using the example below. When I do this it works fine in MMF but when i export it to ios an run on the emulator it wont move. Am i doing something wrong should i add something to my main frame also or is this a bug?
This would be fantastic if i could achieve this

Any ideas? - I think this could be useful to anyone who needs a scrolling text window similar to the standard iPhone text scroll
