Decision on games weapon, need an idea.

I'm making an iOS First Person Shooter at the moment and I'm really close to completion with 4 playable characters. But I have a problem.

Each character has a primary and secondary gun except for one character who I haven't designed a gun for yet. I need an idea for a secondary weapon to go with the player's primary sniper.

Since the other 3 characters have duel pistols, a flamethrower and a revolver between them as secondaries, I'm stumped on the last characters different weapon.

Please think of an awesome idea (can be a normal weapon or not, perhaps lasers) and in a few days I'll choose one and credit all those who gave ideas. I just need an original idea.

Grenade launcher? have it slow to reload since it's a secondary.

Single pistol but it's an automatic? small clip but rapid fire.

When you say FPS you mean first person? i've been out of the mmf loop for a little while but are you doing that in mode 7 or something else?

Yes, first person. I've worked on my own little build rather than adopting mode7. Mode7 wont work on iOS.

I was going to avoid larger projectiles. Mainly because I've built a system for the rest of the weapons and grenades drop over distance would mean some extra work. Unless the grenade didn't drop.

I'd say a standard pistol weapon would be best. And comparing to other FPS games.

Perhaps a throwing knife? Shuriken? Arm-pistol (kinda like AC)? Something that shoots bullets that you can detonate? Sword? Boxing glove shooter? Ice-thrower? Plasma cannon (shoots a continual beam)? Throwing spear? Rocket Launcher? Shotgun? Shotgun pistol?

I think the idea of Shuriken or Bo-Shuriken sound pretty cool (awesome idea NeldaInteractive!). What about things like clods of dirt, rocks, pine cones?

Marbles, caltrops, glass shards, Lightning bolts?

I'm going to use the Shuriken idea. And everybody that came up with ideas will be credited. :D
