What exactly are you trying to do? It looks likes to be caused by the images alpha channel.
An alpha channel is a separate image, the same size as your original image, which determines how transparent each pixel in your image will appear. Each pixel in the alpha channels will range from 0 (white) to black (255). White is totally visible, black is totally transparent and everything in between is semi-transparent.

Click the transparency button in the object editor to view/edit the alpha channel.
I didn't know that button was even there, thanks. Well I just didn't know why there was no transparency behind me sprite thing, haha.

That's why I usually just do all the graphics outside in Photoshop or GIMP, then just import the png animations. It's just easier that way instead of editing the alpha channel in the picture editor when adjusting things. But that's my personal preference.
Yeah, that's what I ended up having to do. It was the only way around my problem, lol.
