help with testing on iphone

i am a developer with apple and already have my app set up in xcode. i have tested it in xcode but i want to test it on my phone. i already have a provisioning certificate on my computer which was the error i used to get. but now i get this error.

Code Sign error: a valid provisioning profile matching the application's Identifier 'com.clickteam.runtime' could not be found

how do i go about getting this certificate. and is there anything else i need to allow me to test it on my phone.

Try to make a new Xcode Project file. Also you can try t chance the bundle identifier in your project/ios properties. Sample "com.yourname.runtime"

You should go in the properties of your application, Ios page, and change the bundle identifier to the one you use for your provisionning profile...

where do i find the bundle identifier of my provisioning profile?

You find it in MMF in the properties Toolbar. klick on the iphone icon :)

You must have chosen it when creating your certificate or provisionning profile 9cant remember which one). Looks lile com.mycompany.mygame

so i finally figured it all out and got it on there. but now when i try and run it for the second time i t freezes on the MMF2 logo and i get this in the debug window.

Xxxxx is where my provisioning profile name is.

Couldn't register com.Xxxxxx.Xxxxxx with the bootstrap server. Error: unknown error code.
This generally means that another instance of this process was already running or is hung in the debugger.

so i figured i would remove it from my phone and close xcode. so i did that and then reopened xcode and tried again but the same issue occured.
can anyone help me out with this?

Don't know anything about these errors, just to make sure: is your device established in Xcode Organizer and have you registered the device in the iOS provisioning portal?

In your Xcode, use the 'automatic device provisioning' feature, that'll let you test any app on any of the devices you've registered for development without having to go through all the provisioning profile rubbish. I'm surprised at how few people seem to be aware of this feature.

i have that set up now. but i still get the error saying that there is another instance of it already running or it is hung up in the debugger. and no matter if i restart my phone or restart my computer i still get the same problem.

Have you also used Xcode's Clean-option?

Sounds like you might have multiple copies of the certificate in your keychain. Delete one from your keychain. You might find it keeps coming back, if it does, delete all your provisioning certificates and reload them.
