Sorry, perhaps I didn't make it clear, but that's not what I want. Of course I can make them whatever button for myself - but it's unmodifiable for the player who might not want to use the default keys for jumping, shooting etc. I want the player to be able to choose the keyboard layout easily like for the arrow keys...
OK on your control setup screen have Control X check for when any key is pressed, then set the appropriate key to either LastKeyPressed$( "Control X" ) or LastKeyPressed( "Control X" ) respectively, depending on whether you picked to set the keys as a string or value. (The one with the $ is for if you picked to set the key as a string.)
OK, thanks for the info, and excuse my newbishness when it comes to control x, but what is the string for jump? or fire1 for example? simply typing those instead of "left" or "right" causes an error for me...
