Camera object question

When I use the camera object and want to take a picture and use it. the screen just freezes and sometimes it takes a picture. is there a way to save objects that appear on top of the photo.
I had a button when I press it a purple block will overlay the picture,but when I save the picture, it doesn't save the purple block.

anyone know how to save objects too?

I dont think there is a way with the camera object as it is now. A enhancement of the object would be to see the image directly live when you take your photo...
