[Game Test] Xable
Hiya Everyone! (1.2MB)
So I made a this little game which incorporates a lot of different "things" that one may find in a game. If anyone could, I would appreciate if you would install this game and test it out. It has 4 levels and shouldn't take up more than 5 minutes of your time. :D
As it stands now, the first 3 levels are are explained in the game. One thing that may not be clear is that on the 2nd and 3rd level, you can access a "pause screen" by pressing the menu button.
The 4th level is separate from the previous levels. In this level, you just try to stay ahead of the left side of the screen. The number in the middle of the d-pad represents a "bomb." This bomb will destroy any of the black "boxes" that are immediately adjacent to you. To use the bomb, click the menu button or the middle of the d-pad (the square with the number on it). At the end of the 4th level, data about the device will be collected and emailed to me (assuming that an internet connection is available and you choose to let the app download). After you get behind the left screen of your phone, the game will calculate how far you traveled. When the number stops increasing, the end of the game has been reached and you can choose to delete/keep. XD
I know that for my phone, the sounds all have one volume. Other than that, everything appears ok. If you choose to download, it would be appreciated if you could comment on the sound, and if anything just appear/looks/feels off/buggy.
GRACIAS!

Hello All,
I've returned with something that I wish to be tested. It is just one frame. My actual android devices are currently in the shop. Before I sent them to the shop however, I played a level (which is the file) and it played horribly slow. If you could, just open the file up on an actual android device, not android emulator, and see what the number at the top reads on average. The frame rate is supposed to be 30fps, but I get the feeling that it might be around 5-ish on most devices.

Hi, it's in portrait mode. The number at the top goes back to 5.

Ok, try it again, I just included the entire game so that it is in landscape and everything else is the same. (The problem level is still the first frame).

The original file in the first post works well here, slows down and becomes a little slow to respond on level two though. Using Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9.

working great on Motorola Rarz 2012. What is the size of your game?
-
The size of the game says it only 1.2MB with the sounds, but sometimes, when I go to check the app details, it says it 2.8MB. The difference could be because of .ogg sound format I use instead of .wav

The frame you posted lags very badly here. I don't have the MFA, but there appears to be a fastloop in the global events which is hammering the expression evaluator.
