Happily surprised by the iOS Exporter
I've used Multimedia Fusion 2 for a while now and while I've always had fun just testing game ideas, I never really looked past using it as a hobby tool. When I was asked to make an iOS app I immediately thought of doing it with MMF2 and the iOS plugin but I was concerned by how well MMF2 would compile and run on an actual iOS device. After buying a mac, applying for an Apple developer account and getting the iOS MMF2 export plugin, I knew there was no going back. I tested the game I'm working on with the iOS simulator in xCode and it didn't really run that well. Scrolling was slightly stuttered and large objects didn't display correctly. I made a few changes I'd found on this site and, while the graphics displayed correctly, the scrolling was still stuttering too much. All this was happening while I was awaiting my developer codes from Apple. Once I received them I immediately tested the game on my iPad 1. To my total surprise, the scrolling issues displayed in the iOS emulator were non-existent. I was even able to add on a few extra layers of parallax. I just wanted to thank the iOS dev team for making this excellent export plugin, it's truly remarkable and has turned my hobbie into my job. I just wanted to say thanks. :)
