Pseudo Preloaders Help. Disabling the default preloader

So, can someone explain to me how, or if it is possible to disable the default preloader, and run the application directly from the start while still loading? If I make the first frame of my application act as a preloader, I might have the option to use whatever I want to without the limits of a standard preloader, thus doing a psuedo preloader effect.

I can't use the 'include preloader' option because it doesn't allow for sounds - play buttons, and because I keep getting script errors when i export as swf. I'm not sure if uninstalling/reinstalling will solve it, because everything else seems to work fine.


Before anyone asks, I have MMF2 Developer Version.

Can't you just use an application for your pre-loader?

With regards to sounds, in that pre-loader application just stream the sound from a URL... you wouldn't be able to achieve this any other route as the pre-loader would have to unpack the sounds as it pre-loads lol... thus negating the whole process of preloading.

But there are some flash games that have sound in their preloaders. I am trying to do something similar to that.

I'm not trying to put a whole song in a preloader. Just some short little sounds until the movie/game plays. :-/
