Image Size in Flash

I didn't realise we were limited on the image size for flash?

Application is set at 640x480, frame size is 4000x480 with a background image that is 4000x480. I receive a prompt when I build & run as an SWF to test:

One of the images of the application is larger than 2880x2800 pixels. Please reduce the size of this image and try again.

Is this a flash restriction Francois? The image is not that big in filesize weighing a mere 35.8kb. It is a PNG with 2 colours + Alpha Channel.

This is a limitation of the Flash Player itself. 2880x2800 is the max size allowed.
